A ghetto house pioneer, Slugo was born in South side of Chicago. Influenced by his cousin DJ Geno, he now has over twenty years in the game and has released over twenty albums. Slugo started DJing in high school, entering DJ battles in the mid-80s, and his first pro mixtape was released in 1992, which led to a relationship with Dance Mania and eventually his own Subterranean Playhouse records.
